text_orientation_last_edited=&#8221;on|desktop&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>Ingredients:<\/h3>\n<p>500 g macaroni (not quick cook)<br \/>\n1 l milk<br \/>\n7 tbsp butter<br \/>\n3\/4 dl wheat flour<br \/>\n1 garlic clove (grated)<br \/>\n1,5 tsp dijon mustard<br \/>\nc. 1-2 ml of ground cayenne<br \/>\npepper (add to taste)<br \/>\nc. 1 tsp salt<br \/>\n150g aged hard cheese (grated)<br \/>\n150 g Appenzeller\u00ae Black Label (grated)<br \/>\n1.5 dl panko breadcrumbs<br \/>\n2-3 jalape\u00f1os (fresh)<br \/>\n1\/2 dl parsley (chopped)[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_2&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.4.8&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.5.6&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>Method:<\/h3>\n<p>Heat the oven to 225\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>Cook the macaroni, but reduce the cooking time by 1-2 min to get them very al dente (they will continue to cook in the oven).<\/p>\n<p>Drain and rinse with cold water.<\/p>\n<p>Heat the milk in a saucepan.<\/p>\n<p>Using a larger pot (with enough room for the macaroni), melt 5 tbsp of butter. Mix in the flour with a whisk. Then gradually pour the milk into the mixture and whisk until smooth. Let simmer for 1-2 min before adding the dijon mustard, cayenne pepper, grated garlic and salt.<\/p>\n<p>Place the macaroni in the pot alongside the grated cheese (save a little to spread on top). Stir and pour into a greased ovenproof dish. <\/p>\n<p>Melt the rest of the butter and mix with the panko breadcrumbs. Scatter on top of the dish, together with the remaining cheese.
